Schmoozapalooza
Schmoozapalooza 2026 was a huge success, made possible by generous donors, volunteers, the BCIT School of Business + Media, and the Schmooze Executive team. A special thank you to the industry professionals, and alumni who came and connected with our Digital Marketing and Brand Strategy students.
Schmoozapalooza is a rare opportunity to bring many of BCIT’s accomplished graduates together in one space for an evening of networking, career conversations, and internship opportunities. To our Digital Marketing students: your professionalism and curiosity left a lasting impression. Keep those conversations going, and best of luck securing that internship!
Annual Regional Conference- (ARC)
The 14th Annual ARC took place on Saturday, January 24th, and was a sell-out success. The event welcomed over 100 students from three post-secondary institutions and 15+ industry professionals, who came together to share expertise and build lasting connections.
This year’s theme, Breakthrough, came to life through a full day of hands-on learning, collaboration, and innovation. Attendees participated in interactive workshops, competitive simulations, and engaging industry panels. Each session offered practical insights into current industry challenges and emerging trends. Thank you to the sponsors, students, and staff who all made ARC possible!
Dress for Success - Pizza Fundraisers
Through two pizza sales, BCITMA raised funds for Dress for Success Vancouver. Proceeds from these fundraisers support the creation of cosmetic bags filled with self-care essentials, helping individuals feel confident, supported, and empowered. Thanks for your support!
Upcoming Events
BCITMA x YWIB - Women Empowerment Night - Feb 3
In collaboration with the Young Women in Business BCIT chapter, we will be hosting a panel and networking event. Listen and connect with leaders from BeaYOUtiful, Dress for Success, Intact Insurance, Vancity, and HETTAS to hear their industry experiences!
The event will be held on February 3 in NE22 Room 105, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM! All are welcome!
Love on the Dancefloor with the BCITMA - Feb 7
BCITMA will be at Fortune Sound Club on Saturday, February 7! Tickets start at $8.45, with an entry time of 10-11 PM. Must be 19+.
Valentine’s Day Card Sale - Feb 12
Looking to send a Valentine? BCITMA will be selling Valentine’s Day cards for $2 from 10 AM to 3 PM! Location will be announced on our social media and text messaging channels!
Canadian Blood Services Blood Drive - Feb 23-24
Canadian Blood Services will once again be on campus for a Blood Drive on February 23 and 24 from 11 AM to 5:45 PM. Come donate blood and potentially save a life!
