2025 Year in Review

Happy Holidays!

2025 was a year of accomplishments and growth, thanks to students, stakeholders, and, especially, you, our members. Let’s go over BCITMA’s significant events and achievements from this year!

ARC - Annual Regional Conference

On January 18th, 2025, BCITMA hosted ARC, a conference featuring speakers, workshops, and discussions to connect students with recruitment and networking opportunities.

Schmoozapalooza 2025

A few weeks after ARC, we hosted Schmoozapalooza, a night of networking for Marketing students! Connecting students to industry, new links and internship prospecting was established.

AMAICC 2025 - New Orleans

In April, the BCITMA attended the American Marketing Association’s International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans. With over 1,600 student attendees, we reinforced our position as a top-ranking Collegiate MA organization. Highlighting our successes, we placed:

3rd in the AMA Case Competition

1st in the Design Lab Marketing Competition

Top 10 Large Chapter

Runner Up for Student Marketer of the Year, Lucas MacCulloch

Back To School - Fall 2025

Wishing the best for our 2024/2025 Executive Board, our 2025/2026 Executive Board took the reins. Cole Thiessen assumed the role of President, and Olivia MacGillivray took on the role of our new Vice President as we prepared for the new intake of BCITMA members! Engaging with new students, we tabled at Clubs Day, fundraised through Krispy Kreme Donut sales, and joined the nightlife in Downtown Vancouver!

Marketing Week 2025

The 2025 edition of our Marketing Week had one of our largest turnouts ever, featuring excellent speakers and panels sharing their industry experience, along with networking opportunities for all BCIT Marketing specializations. Check out our previous blog post highlighting the main events!

A Massive Thank You!

We wanted to give a huge thank you to our sponsors, the BCIT School of Business and Media, and Leavitt Machinery, for making these events possible. Without their support, we wouldn’t have been able to participate in these world-class opportunities and build strong relationships between industry and students.

We also want to thank all the speakers who shared their experiences and tips at our panels and the hosts of our industry tours, who familiarized BCITMA members with the industry.

Last but not least, we want to thank YOU, our students and fellow BCITMA members, for your curiosity and for steering BCITMA toward what students wish to gain from their time at BCIT.

If you’re looking for the latest from the BCITMA, you should consider signing up for updates from our email newsletter or SMS texts!

From the BCITMA, Happy Holidays, and see you next year!
