INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

Name: Isabel Carter
BCITMA Position: VP of Consulting

Why did you join the BCITMA?
"I had previous experience using social media to grow local businesses and loved the idea of being able to use the skills that I was learning in school to help people.”

What does your role look like as a VP of your committee?
”Most of my time is spent researching, pitching to clients, and co-ordinating my team. I love that I get hands-on experience with real-world clients before graduating! It has helped me grow so much since starting.”

Do you have any experiences you would like to share from your time as a VP?
Having a client give positive feedback on a project you've been working on is just the best feeling. Feeling like all of the hard work you've put into a client has helped has given me so much fulfilment and pride in what I do.”

How do you keep your personal and work/school life balanced?
I take pride in my work/school, but I also make an effort to schedule time in with my best friends! It honestly makes me a better student and person when I've spent time with the people that I love.”

Can you share what you’ve learned so far with BCITMA?
”You are capable of so much more than you think! I think a lot of times, I've felt like I didn't deserve to be here, and I've learned to believe in myself. All of the execs are such hardworking, creative individuals that push me to be better every day.”
