Cotton Inc. is a non-profit research and promotional company whose aim is to increase the demand and profitability of cotton. They are seeking an integrated marketing campaign that targets 13-18-year-olds that informs them about the benefits of cotton and encourages them to purchase cotton apparel.
The case competition offers the most realistic and practical marketing communications experience available at BCIT. Joining the team allow for hands-on learning working on all aspects of an IMC, and the opportunity to present to a professional client. All members come away with an exciting and in-depth experience, leading them to be sought after by top employers and respected for their work ethic.
The case competition is the most coveted competition of the American Marketing Association. Over 150 institutions across the United States and Canada compete to have their case presented at the Collegiate Conference in New Orleans every spring.
BCIT placed second in the 2018/2019 case, sponsored by The Wall Street Journal. This year, the case sponsor is Cotton Inc., and the BCITMA aims to earn a spot in the top ten and then take home the first prize.
