Why did you join the BCITMA?
"Joining BCITMA gave me the opportunity to showcase my passion for giving back to the community and supporting initiatives, integrating marketing and strategizing activities. I joined BCITMA because I wanted to maximize the experiences and opportunities I could explore, such as networking and learning from industry professionals.”

What does your role look like as a VP of your committee?
”As VP of the Community Relations Committee, I make sure to find non-profit clients for project consulting, volunteering, or fundraising activities.”

My committee is the heart of the MA. It’s a really fulfilling experience to be given the avenue to serve the community and do something we are passionate about outside academics.”

How do you keep your personal and work/school life balanced?
Time management is key! Schedule everything ahead and make sure to also have fun along the journey.”

Can you share what you’ve learned so far with BCITMA?
”Working in teams and dealing with the only available resources you have. Things don’t always go according to our own plan, so being able to adapt with who you are and what you have is a really important asset.”

Any tips or tricks you would like to share with Marketing students?
Being in this program and club is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. As much as it’s hard to take 7 courses and do club work at the same time, take into consideration the networking opportunities that the MA provides. So have fun studying and building your network at the same time!”
